A collection of beautiful photographs from past Historical Society events, including the Annual CCHS Meeting, Concorde de Elegance Road Tour at Linchester Mill, the Hog Island School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, the September Irish Music Session, Exeter and the unveiling of the Network to Freedom sign at Gilpin Point.
The Historical Society’s Annual Meeting took place on April 15th at the Caroline Country Club. The event featured a presentation by Christopher T. George, author of “Terror on the Chesapeake,” and was made possible by the Maryland Humanities Council and a grant from the Maryland War of 1812 Commission.
On October 9th, the African American Historical Advisory Committee participated in a public art endeavor by painting byway quilt blocks for the Stitching Stories of Freedom Byway Quilt Trail.
